6“ 152.4mm Stainless Steel Tube

Yaolong Hygienic manufactures heavy-duty 6" 152.4mm stainless steel tube with a standard 2.77mm wall thickness (12 Gauge), available in prime TP304/304L and TP316/316L grades. Fully compliant with ASTM A270, AS 1528.1, and 3-A Sanitary Standards, our 6inch large diameter tubes are engineered to deliver superior structural strength, exact roundness, and exceptional corrosion resistance.

Each tube is produced via continuous roll forming and automated TIG welding with inert gas backing, followed by inline weld bead rolling and pure hydrogen bright annealing above 1040°C to relieve internal stresses. The inner surface is mechanically polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm (32 µin) or precision finished to Ra ≤ 0.51 µm (20 µin) and 100% verified by eddy current testing.

Delivering ultra-low flow friction, high vacuum resistance, and fast CIP cleanability, our 6" 152.4mm stainless steel tubing is the ideal solution for brewery fermentation headers, dairy intake manifolds, central CIP distribution mains, as well as high-capacity data center liquid cooling loops (CDU manifolds).

Quality Control

Yaolong Hygienic provides full-process quality control for 6" 152.4mm stainless steel tubes, guaranteeing 100% heat number traceability and EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates (MTC). Raw materials undergo strict chemical spectroscopy and ultrasonic flaw detection before forming. Dimensional checks, wall thickness uniformity, and end concentricity strictly follow ASTM A270, AS 1528.1, and 3-A Sanitary Standards, ensuring structural stability for both food processing and high-reliability data center liquid cooling loops.

Testing & Inspection

Every batch of 6inch stainless steel tubing undergoes multi-point dimensional checks, end squareness verification, and inner surface roughness (Ra) profiling. We conduct 100% inline Eddy Current Testing (ECT) and hydrostatic pressure testing to verify full weld seam integrity. Inspection data sheets and hydrostatic test logs are supplied with every order for engineering commissioning and quality audits.

Surface Finish

To meet diverse sanitary and high-purity fluid processing requirements, our 6" 152.4mm stainless steel tubing is available in multiple precision surface finishes, including Mechanical Polishing (MP), Bright Annealed (BA), and Electropolishing (EP). Internal roughness is tightly controlled at Ra ≤ 0.8 μm (32 μin) for standard hygienic lines, Ra ≤ 0.5 μm (20 μin) for high-purity applications, and down to Ra ≤ 0.4 μm (15 μin) with EP treatment. The ultra-smooth, crevice-free inner surface minimizes fluid resistance, prevents media scaling and bacterial biofilm adherence, and maximizes cleanability during automated CIP/SIP cycles. The external surface comes standard with a clean 180–240 grit brushed satin finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm) or bright annealed appearance.

Bright Annealing & Heat Treatment

All ASTM A270 sanitary tubes undergo full solution annealing at temperatures above 1040°C followed by rapid quenching. This process completely restores maximum corrosion resistance, eliminates residual welding stress, and enhances material ductility. For sensitive food and beverage applications, we supply Bright Annealed (BA) tubing, which features a mirror-like, oxide-free internal finish that minimizes surface micro-voids and optimizes total process hygiene.

Material

304 / 304L Stainless Steel Tubing: Offers excellent general corrosion resistance and outstanding cost-efficiency.

316 / 316L Stainless Steel Tubing: Enhanced with 2-3% Molybdenum and lower carbon content, providing superior pitting resistance against chlorides, organic acids, and aggressive chemical cleaning agents.

Packaging

To prevent contamination and mechanical scratches during international transit, each 6" 152.4mm stainless steel tube is capped with plastic end protectors and individually wrapped in protective polyfilm. Tubes are bundled and reinforced with heavy-duty woven bags or custom seaworthy wooden cases and steel-framed pallets. Every bundle carries a waterproof shipping tag indicating outer diameter, wall thickness, material grade, standard, and heat number, ensuring rapid warehouse identification and full supply chain traceability.
